The Rural and Remote Emergency Medicine Workshop is an interactive two-day program that focuses on developing the emergency management skills and knowledge of rural and remote clinicians. An Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) accredited course, this two day program aims to teach the theory and practical skills to effectively manage cardio/respiratory arrest, peri-arrest situations and special circumstances, and to prepare senior members of a multidisciplinary team to manage the patient until transfer to a critical care area if possible. The National Health Education and Training in Simulation (NHET-Sim) program is a nationwide training program for healthcare professionals and their educators aimed at improving clinical training capacity. This core module covers basic principles of simulation with a focus on educational design for simulation scenarios, briefing and debriefing practices.
