    The Rural Health West CPD REACT+ workshop is designed to assist Western Australian Visiting Medical Practitioners to maintain their emergency knowledge and skills, and gain formal assessment towards their emergency credentialing, as required by WA Country Health Service. Covering medical emergencies, major trauma and cardiac arrest in adults and children, and associated lifesaving procedural skills training, REACT+ is a highly interactive workshop. Participants are provided with audio-visual pre-learning materials and the course consists almost entirely of small group practical skills stations and simulated scenarios.     PCOC Clinical Leaders Assessment & Response Framework 2024

    At the end of the workshop, the participants will: Have a documented plan to provide support and education. This includes a specific plan to address Key Strategy ‘local processes for assessment’, Key Strategy ‘education processes’, and a response to the recommendations in the PCOC education checklist. Possess knowledge and understanding of the PCOC training resources available to support implementation, embed key concepts and promote consistent and reliable data collection. Connect and network with other senior clinicians for the purpose of sharing experiences and strategies in the successful application of the PCOC assessment and response framework.

    This Rural Health West CPD workshop is designed to assist health professionals to develop and practise skills essential in unexpected crises, particularly with problem airways. Delivered in WA Country Health Service facilities, this workshop has a heavy emphasis on teamwork and the organisation of medical emergency teams incorporating presentations, skill stations and scenario-based crises with simulation manikins (SimMan and baby).
