April/May Morning Minds – Peer Education Series

Join us on the last Thursday of each month for a peer-led education series that will kick off your day in the right
way! Our presenters are highly passionate about the topics they are presenting on with the lived experience of
delivering health outcomes in the Kimberley region. Whether or not you need a little upskilling or just interested in
the topic, these free sessions are a great way to learn and connect with your fellow Health Professionals.
April/May topic; Critical Conversations – An introduction to an approach that will help you address conflict or difficult conversations in any context, suitable for humans/professionals of different backgrounds, experience and interests
Presented by – Astrid Gerrits
Astrid is a Dutch trained Psychosocial worker in private practice with experience in academic medical (N/P/ICU, child oncology), correctional, mental health, disability and family law services. She has a passion for relationships and is one of few that doesn’t consider conflict a dirty word. Outside her counselling and mediation practice with individuals, couples and families she teaches mediators globally in her Broome developed model of dispute resolution in which she has incorporated Restorative Practice.
