Aboriginal Family Safety Strategy – Aboriginal Community Workshop – Fitzroy Crossing

The Department of Communities’ (the Department), Strategy and Transformation division is currently undertaking state-wide Aboriginal community engagement to seek input and build on previous engagement conducted in 2020, to inform the Aboriginal Family Safety Strategy (the Strategy).

The Strategy will aim to support the State to reduce violence and abuse against Aboriginal women and children.

Workshop Purpose

The purpose of the external Aboriginal community consultations is to seek input and build on the previous engagement to inform the Strategy.

• What is Aboriginal family violence?
• What is safety?
• What should the Strategy’s guiding principles include?

Tea and Coffee, Morning tea, Lunch and Afternoon tea will be provided.
