SUMMARY:Leadership – No Health Care Future without Nurse Leaders: Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Nurses are voted the most trusted profession every year\, yet they have not been entrusted with leading the health future of their communities\, and countries. Interprofessional practice has not recognised nurses to be decision makers in their own right. \nWhen nurses move into leadership roles\, they build on skills that are intrinsic to the delivery of nursing care. Nurses working in the community are well placed to see the challenges and barriers that our fragmented health system and how they impact on the health outcomes of our communities. Nurse leadership is vital to ensuring that the health system is accessible\, responsive and able to meet the needs of all Australians. \nCome and hear from colleagues who are specialists in their fields\, gain current and relevant insights\, and share your experiences and thoughts in real time. \nPanel members: \n\nAdjunct Professor Kylie Ward FACN. CEO\, Australian College of Nursing\nKaren Booth. President\, Australian Primary Health Care Association (APNA) \n\nNursing in the Community Week aims to raise awareness on how nurses can support our community to stay safe at home\, wherever that is. \nVisit the website for more information.

SUMMARY:Narrative Therapy - Level 1 Training Course (Broome)
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with the Dulwich Centre\, we are thrilled to offer the highly coveted Narrative Therapy – Level 1 intensive training course to the Kimberley. \nOver 5-days\, you will be immersed in the practices of narrative therapy. \nNarrative therapy centres people as the experts in their own lives and views problems as separate from people. It is an appropriate therapeutic modality when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait clients. \nNarrative therapy involves ways of understanding the stories of people’s lives and ways of re-authoring these stories in collaboration between the therapist and the people whose lives are being discussed. \nThis one-week workshop has been specifically designed for those who are relatively new to narrative ways of working or those who have had some exposure to the ideas and would like the opportunity to more rigorously engage with narrative practices. \nFor more information on this course\, click here. \nFor more information on narrative therapy click here \nTerms & Conditions \nA refund\, minus an admin fee (approximately $30)\, is available up to 1 month prior to the course commencing. \n  \nTickets: https://events.humanitix.com/narrative-therapy-training-course-broome
