DESCRIPTION:A free accredited education and skills development program on how to deliver best practice telehealth services. \nFree places are limited.  You can contact the Digital Health Team if you are unable to secure a free place at ehealth@acrrm.org.au \nThe delivery of telemedicine has skyrocketed across the world during the pandemic\, and experts say remote care is here to stay. Whether giving advice to a colleague or patient over the phone or conducting a video consultations\, telehealth is something we all do every day. \nAvailable from March to June 2023\, the course will give you the opportunity to review your knowledge and clinical skills with the help and guidance of College Medical Educatgors\, highly experienced in delivering remote care. \nFeaturing a live online workshop and an online course to complete in your own time\, the course explores consultations with patients\, remote GP supervision\, assessing patients through nursing and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health staff\, and family conferencing. \nThe course will take you through the history and examination of different body systems\, showing you how to get the most out of each examination.  It will also cover legalities and safety tips along the way\, so you can be highly effective while also practising safe telemedicine. \nTime Commitment \nIt is estimated that the total time to complete the program is 6 hours. This is broken into two mandatory components \n4.5 hours:   Self-paced activity in the online course\n1.5 hours:   Virtual live interactive workshop \nThe 2023 program is offering 10 workshops between March and June.  The workshops will be limited to 20 participants to allow for good engagement. \nLearning Objectives \n\n\nRevise the fundamentals of a remote consultation and telehealth services based on best practice for both safety and quality;\n\n\nExtend your General Practice competencies to support assessment\, examination and management of patients through remote consultations;\n\n\nUnderstand the practicalities for doctors and patients in providing and attending remote consultations\, including communication with\, and examinations using digital technologies;\n\n\nReflect on your current professional practices and processes which support patient care in a virtual care environment;\n\n\nUnderstand and implement correct remote assessment and diagnostic techniques for individual clinical disciplines; and\n\n\nDemonstrate and evaluate your capability to provide remote medical care in a live virtual workshop.\n\n\nCPD \n6 educational activity hours \nREGISTER HERE
