DESCRIPTION:ECHO programs offer free interactive online training bringing health professionals and primary care together to share knowledge\, ideas\, and experiences\, fostering a friendly supportive environment. These monthly sessions run for an hour from 11.00am to 12.00pm WA and are open to all health care staff including Nursing\, Allied health\, GP’s\, Community health and Indigenous health workers. \nPalliative Care ECHO is a series of interactive virtual mentoring sessions that addresses a range of palliative care topics. Whether or not you need a little upskilling or just interested in\nthe topic\, these free sessions are a great way to learn and connect with your fellow Health Professionals. \nFebruary topic Concussion – Chronic Kidney Disease & Renal Replacement Therapy in the Kimberley\nPresented by – Dr Dean McKitrick \nDr Dean McKittrick is a General Practitioner working with the Kimberley Renal Services team covering the Derby and Fitzroy Valley Catchment area. Dean has worked and trained in the Kimberley Region since 2019 starting off as a Resident and Registrar at Broome Hospital\, completing his GP training with Kimberley Medical Group and also the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Remote Clinics. He is now a fellowed GP with extended skills in Emergency Medicine working as a Renal GP for KRS and alongside the RPH Nephrology Teams. His current role includes outreach clinics for patients with all stages of Chronic Kidney Disease\, caring for 76 patients on dialysis within the Derby and Fitzroy Crossing Renal Units and On-Call work for the Kimberley Region. Dean is passionate about providing education to both his patients and fellow medical staff to improve health outcomes for all patients living with CKD. \nRegister HERE
