DESCRIPTION:This comprehensive workshop is for medical practitioners\, GP obstetricians\, midwives and other health professionals seeking additional skills\, knowledge and experience in caring for the newborn who requires resuscitative support at birth.\nAdvanced Resuscitation comprises a theoretical (web based) learning component and a practical (skills based) training program.  This program comprises all components of the First Response Progrram\, plus additional theory\, advanced newborn resuscitation skills and advanced scenarios. \nThe theoretical component is a self paced learning program which is entirely web based.  It consists of two online learning modules which must be completed prior to attending the Advanced Resuscitation practical training program. \nEligibility: Paediatricians\, GP obstetricians\, medical practitioners and midwives.  Priority is given to those working in the local region. \nLength: 8:00am-4:30pm \nCost:\nMidwives/Nurses – $240 (including GST)\nDoctors – $360 (including GST)\nThe cost of this workshop is subsidised by the Australian Government Department of Health \nAccreditation: This workshop has accreditation with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)\, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and RANZCOG for continuing professional development points/hours for the 2023-2025 triennium. \nThis Rural Health West education workshop is proudly funded by the Australian Government Department of Health  \nPayment structure \nYou will receive an email link for payment in an event confirmation email. DESCRIPTION:Neonatal Stabilisation and Transport Rediness (NeoSTARs) is a follow on course from NeoResus. This course\, which is created and delivered by neonatologists and neonatal nurse educators\, teaches current up to date evidence-based approaches to neonatal stabilisation. Course attendance will help you and your team to understand and master the basic skills required in the care of any sick newborn. As well as technical skills\, a high-performance team with strong supportive skills is necessary to deliver care in a safe and timely manner.
