Emergency Airway Skills Management (EAM) – Broome

Workshop details
Designed especially for rural and remote health professionals, this workshop will be facilitated by an experienced team of three Anaesthetists and three Technicians from Royal Perth Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital. It is a full day workshop, and involves presentations, case studies, hands on drill stations and scenarios in theatre, making use of simulation equipment (SIM man and baby). There is a heavy emphasis on team work and the workshop continues to receive great feedback.
Workshop content includes:
- Emergency airway skills
- Anaesthesia updates
- Crisis simulation management comprising of team-based scenarios and
- Paediatric airway skills (including the use of paediatric airway equipment and baby manikin)
Eligibility
GP Anaesthetists and theatre staff. Priority is given to those working in the local region. Should places be available, emergency department doctors and nurses are invited to register.

Registration Fee $50.00
Accreditation
This workshop has accreditation with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACCRM) for continuing professional development points/hours and is approved for the Rural Procedural Grants Program, Emergency and Anaesthetics components. We do ask participants to contact their relevant college to ascertain your eligibility for the grant prior to attending.
All confirmed participants will receive written confirmation via email of their place in this workshop approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the workshop with information and materials posted once confirmed a place.
